Weddings
At Wolfen Mill we offer quite a unique wedding opportunity for a small, perhaps informal, weekend wedding party or a group celebration.
We offer you the option to rent the whole of Wolfen Mill, use of its private accommodation, communal rooms and grounds as well as the facility of its wedding licence for a minimum 3 day wedding celebration.
A large room on the ground floor holds a wedding licence for the attendance of a maximum of 50 people.
Wolfen Mill consists of 9 properties that sleep 22 guests with an additional 10 guests being able to use sofa beds if required in 5 of the apartments. The courtyard at the Mill can have a 30’ x 20’ marquee erected on it, (at extra cost) this can allow comfortable seated dining for a maximum of 50 guests. If your wedding party is below this number then you may be able to manage with our own dining facilities.
We rent you the use of Wolfen Mill these facilities and you are then able to arrange and plan the rest of the event to suit your own wishes. We can place you in direct contact with caterers, wine merchants, marquee hire, florists and other services that you might need. You can provide your own drinks for your event which can add up to a considerable saving to you.
We have only a few minimum stipulations.
- The hire of the event will be based upon our short break of up to 2 /3 nights and priced at 75% of the weekly seasonal tariff.
- We make a £500 wedding/group fee charge which covers hire of the communal dining room and kitchen facilities, use of our wedding licence and time/management services to assist in the organisation of your day and attendance as required with the registrar.
- Any music/disco etc must be turned off at 11.00 pm although you are free to carry on socialising after this time indoors.
- On the day of departure the properties are returned to us in a tidy and presentable manner at 10.30 am.
- A security deposit will be required.
A wedding at Wolfen Mill allows you to host a wedding unfettered by the more usual stipulation imposed by a hotel type function suite. We can assist with local knowledge to help you and your guests enjoy a truly memorable occasion.
